Create wonderful glass creations learning how to use Ranger's Alcohol Inks! These cool inks are used to dye glass, Acrylic, plastic etc. You will also learn how to use Perfect Pearls and Compress air for effect.

Elisa's Alcohol Ink Technique Class with Instructional Tags

Get Schooled on how to further your Alcohol Ink Education! In this class Elisa will show you several techniques on how to use this wonderful product. Also, you will complete the techniques yourself and place them on a Tag with full instructions so you can remember how to recreate the technique!

Hi Everyone! I am blogging to you today because it seems as if I have fallen off of the universe these past few weeks. As most of you know we had a 3 day stint in the hospital with our oldest daughter Kennedi. She seems to be improving but we are still meeting with specialist and just trying to figure things out. Thank you to everyone who has stopped in or called and especially for all the prayers! As soon as it appears things are looking up with Kennedi I go and get the Flu. WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS!

With all that being said I would like to tell you all that Kayla will be coming in again to teach one of her Stamp'n Up Classes. If you haven't made it to one yet she and I would love to have you!

Hi There! I sure do hope this finds everyone to well and feeling creative! Guess What? Mistletoe and Co. from Pink Paislee has ARRIVED! I have the complete line as you can see and for you canvas tag lovers I have those too. As you know, all the of the Twilight Halloween line Accessories went very fast so you may want to grab these while you can.

Check out this cute kid! That would be my little Grant. Today was Crazy Hair Day in his Pre K class and this is how he returned home today. HE LOVES IT! He says he looks like Edward Cullen... I'm thinking a little more like Bozo the clown. You can see it but it sparkles as well. I love that his teacher does fun little things like this with the class. She added Tattoos for the boys and makeup and painted nails for the girls. They are learning about Community workers and today was about Beauticians.

Fall in in the air

Oh how I love Fall! I love the changing of leaves, the colors schemes, the smell of yummy candles that we pull out for this special time of year, Halloween, and then Thanksgiving!

As you may have noticed I have added all of the October Events and Classes coming up on the side bar. I thought this may work better for keeping track of all the fun to come. Please notice that I have changed the Ranger Perfect Pearls class from Saturday the 3rd to Sunday the 4th. There is still space available if anyone else would like to join us.

I am happy to report that I have received tons of Reinker Colors by Ranger!!! If you love your Ranger Alochol Inks you are are going to love the Matching Ranger Reinkers to make your own spray mist, etc. Add Perfect Pearls to the mix and you've got greatness! I have also received Fancy Pants Designs Little Sprouts Collection. This is a totally adorable collection and not to mention it is great for both boys and girls.

All that is new

Chello Friends!
I have to admit it has been a while but I have been very busy you see! That cutie husband of mine came home after being gone for 4 weeks and was able to be home with us for 6 glorious days (even though it did rain most of the time and I have been very busy at the store). Oh what a night...

OH WHAT A NIGHT....

Last night was Creative You Scrapbooking's First Crop Night since we have moved into our new location. Boy did we have a blast. The night started of with Ramona teaching a 2 page layout class and then we followed with dinner and cropped until midnight. As you can see in the pictures posted there was a tad bit of craziness. That Leslie is a trip! There definitely wasn't a dull moment. Congrats to Elisa for winning Queen of the Crop, You totally rocked! Some how she managed to get more done than any of us the whole night! Thank you Mrs. Mona for being the mama hen, I enjoyed our talks. Ramona, big thanks to you as well for bringing something fun to the table and

the girls can't wait to get their Close To My Heart stuff in! Yvette, you are sillier in more ways than you realize! I can always tell when it is getting close to time to end the night because you start giggling at everything. Stacy, what can I say, BABIES! No really, you are being a better and better scrapper every time we get together and I am proud of you. Welcome Ms. Cindii to the group! Last but not least, we enjoyed all the stories shared Abbey, I look forward to seeing the end product of the picture of your in-laws and thank you for sharing memories of my mom.

I hope everyone had as much fun and I did and thank you for coming and of course I appreciate your shopping as well. I am looking forward to next month!

WOW WEEEE! WHAT A DAY!

I have to say that I thought today would be your typical Wednesday, but I was totally wrong! The store was taken over by a crew of Scrapaholics! Not just any Scrapaholics, they were all sisters (my bad, there was one Mother and Granddaughter). They were hilarious! I enjoyed having them there with me so much. By the way when I say crew I mean there was like 8 of these fabulous ladies. Once everyone left and sat in my chair behind the counter and reflected on what a blessing it must be for them to all have each other and to all have this wonderful hobby to share a group. I also realized that is something that I will never have with my mom, but on the brighter side I can definitely start something like that with my own daughters. Scrap booking is all about the memories. It is your shot to tell your story and the story of your love ones through your eyes. Thank you ladies for sharing your presence with me and giving me glance into your family life and for making me smile until my cheeks hurt!

Counting Blessings...

I just love, love, love these new sheer tags from Maya Road! They are made of thick sheer vinyl, 32 to a pack, different shapes, sayings and comes in one of their signature tins. You can see by the picture here that I used this Counting Blessings Sheer on a layout I did for Grant's 4th birthday layout. I used a black thin line sharpie marker and there you have it.

Speaking of counting blessings... I just had the cutest little boy climb in the bed with me. I just love it when he does that. Every once in while he will come in my room at night (only when his daddy isn't home) and he will wake me up by saying "Mommy... you look like you need some one to cuddle with." Considering the fact that I am already asleep (and God only knows what that looks like) I am willing to bet Grant is the one who really needs some cuddling, but I am always willing to say "I sure do, how did you know." He always says " I just do mommy cause I love you." That would be Grant in Dream Land featured in the picture. How can you say no to that?

Hey, What ya think about the awesome new header I have for my blog? I have to shout out a great big THANKS to Michelle Geautreaux from One Creative Mama. She attached it to an e-mail she sent out about my new store opening and I loved it so much I had to place it here. Michelle is a very talented artist from Lockport, La. She was a feature artist at Art After Dark in Houma this past Saturday. She comes up with "out of the box" beauties. Not only is she One Creative Mama but she is One Talented Chic! I will post her blog information tomorrow night (having trouble pulling it up at the moment).

Last but not least and certainly before I forget, I did just put in another order. I have a new paper line coming into the store... TO BE ANNOUNCED LATER (tease) but I will tell you that if you like Vintage flair, you will love this. I also have a new order of Glossy Accents and Zip Dry coming in as well for those who requested. Hopefully all the Ranger products (Alcohol Inks, Perfect Pearls, Crackle Paints and Stickles) will be in this week as well.

I just called to say I love you

Today I was sitting in the crop room at the store and my phone rang. It was Matt calling from Offshore. He never is able to just call during the day, but today he did. Not once, but twice and almost back to back. The first call was to check on how I was feeling since I am suppose to be off my foot for the next 10 days (yeah right) and then about 10 minutes later he called again just to say I love you.

A flood of emotions came rushing back through out the day after that second phone call. I'm not sure why, it just happened. Maybe that was God's way of letting me know how much I take my hubby for granted. I don't mean to do it but I think it does happen and it goes unnoticed by none other than myself.

With him being gone all the time I just find myself wishing he was here to help out on the things that really aren't important, like cutting the grass and taking out the trash and the helping with the kids when I have had about as much as I can handle. But the truth is when I look back is that he is ALWAYS here for the important things. He was here when the babies were born, and for birthdays and graduations, when my mother died he was there (late) but he was there, he takes the kids to school and picks them up when he is home, he cooks a big breakfast if there is time or not before school, he kisses bumps and bruises, he gives hugs and wipes tears, he loves rocking Maddie even though she is too big, he's a pirate,Transformer, and some times Luke Skywalker if Grant imagines that is what he should be, he folds all the laundry and he bakes the best Pineapple upside down cake in the world and all I have to do is ask, he's a hard worker and great provider and when he hugs you he means it and today I realized that he calls to say I love you when he knows I need to hear it.

Thanks Babe... I love you too! Thanks for everything.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING ON 09-09-09 @ 9:00?

I am sitting her2 admiring the new Prima Vintage flowers that arrived today. Yet again I went overboard on the ordering... Does one little Scrapbook Store need 20 different styles of Prima Flowers? I must say YES because these are simply beautiful!

On a non-scrap related topic, My Kennedi got her braces off today! She will be nine in November and she is so Happy that she will not have those braces on for the upcoming holidays! WAY TO GO KENNEDI! On the sweet side, she brought in her favorite doll (which was my first Cabbage Patch 24 years ago) and her Orthodontist is putting braces on it for her. Of course she is thrilled about that.

Hi there everyone! I just wanted to share with you all a picture of the 2 layouts that will be completed on Sept. 19th here at Creative You Scrapbooking. This is a class that will be taught by Ramona Boudreaux with Close To My Heart.

OH MY HECK! I have more Maya Road that has come in. I think I may have a issue with chipboard! Everyone who knows me will tell you that I am practically obsessed with Chipboard, Fall and Halloween papers, Embellishments etc. I JUST CAN'T HELP IT! In my defense, I have to say that what has come in I have not seen anywhere else so I think it is totally justified!

I will also have Vintage Prima Flowers coming in on Thursday for everyone who asked. I am totally excited about that too. These beautiful flowers will be wonderful for layouts, purses, headbands etc.

Last but not least... I will be having our first Scrappy Kids Night Out on Sept. 26th. It will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m and the cost is $30.00. This includes a Scrappy Kids T-shirt, Crafts and Pizza. Parents drop them off and we provide the fun! Instant parents night out! If you know anyone who this may interest please pass on the information. You must pre-register due to limited space. Wow, It's Wednesday already! We are halfway into the work week already and I have to admit that I am one tired girl at the end of the day. Today was a blessed day. The store is doing very well and my kids are doing great (no one has the flu~ God bless all of you who are suffering right now), I have had the privaledge to meet some really great and funny ladies (Mrs. Karen and Mrs. Melanie thanks for all the laughs today!), and not to mention great conversation on the phone with new customers. Creativity was flowing today.

I promised I would show a picture of September's Make'N Take. It's our way to Celebrate the beginning of Autumn/Fall.

It is called "Falling In Love" By Cosmo Cricket.

The cost is $12.00 and The date for this Kit is Sept. 27th.

Times: 11-12 p.m or 12:30-1:30 p.m.

Must Pre-Register for Kits are limited. I am allowing for 5 people for each time slot.

Supplies needed: Adhesive, Brown distress Ink or Cat Eye

If you would like a kit but would preffer to do it at home please stop by the store.

Also, I am very please to announce that we will soon have an new shippment of Maya Road Chipboard sets, etc. and I have also ordered a large assortment of Prima Vintage flowers. They too will arrive with in a week.

Lastly, I will be doing a Free Kit drawing tomorrow night. The kit for grabs is the "Our Gift" Hoop Kit that was featured a few blogs down (Sorry... Have'n trouble posting the picture again). Opening Day... Hooray!

WHAT A GREAT DAY TODAY WAS!!!!!

I officially re-opened Creative You today and I was so happy with the response and warm welcome I received from the Lockport Community. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I truly enjoyed the laughter, conversation, and advise that I received. I was even able to hold a sweet baby (you know who you are LOL) which totally set my mood for the day (Thanks Kelly).

It's Finally Here! (I have pictures to prove it !)

It's Finally Here! Tomorrow is the first day in the new store. I am so glad! Special Thanks to my girl Elisa for helping for the past 4 weeks you are the best! You told me it could be done and we did it! Shout out to Michelle G. for dropping in with advise and totally mad organization skills (she's been there and done that)! All of your help is totally appreciated!

I will be opening the doors at 10:00 a.m. and of course we close at 5:00 p.m. I leave every week day from 2:20-3:45 p.m. to pick up my kiddos from school and reopen until closing time. I look forward to seeing evreyone very soon so please stop by when ever you get a chance.

I have included some pictures of the store front for those who can't make it in tomorrow ( I know you are curious LOL).

Last but not least, Ramona Boudreaux will be teaching her monthly Close To My Heart Class on September 19th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. The cost is $5.00 and you will be making 2 12x12 layouts. Following Ramona's Class we will be having our first Crop Night. The cost is $7.00 for Non Creative Club Memebers. September 1st is rapidly approaching and I am so excited that I can hardly stand it! Elisa and I finished packing up the old store this morning, came back to my house to drop some things off and there it was... The delivery truck carrying my Pink Paislee Products. Elisa and I literally jumped up and down. The Twilight Collection is Fabulous! I liked it so much that I went straight to the computer and order the few things I didn't think I needed. I also ordered the Christmas and Valentine collections along with more Maya Road. As excited as I am I hope you are too. If you are in the area come in and say hello!

Almost Time!

The lost has been found, the lost blogger that is. Sorry Friends that I have dropped off the face of the blogger world but as you all know I have been totally busy getting ready to open the new store. IT'S ALMOST TIME! I just love it! Bright colors, new inventory, more new inventory on the way, lots more space, playroom, great community... I'm gushing. I am tying up all the loose ends and getting ready to open the doors on Sept. 1st. I also have a new childrens craft coming called SMOOSHIES. Check'em out (yep... they are crafts).

These are really cute and cuddly crafts that your child can build right in the store and bring home. These are great for all ages and for both boys and girls.

3 Bugs In A Rug HAS ARRIVED!

Hi Ya!

Thought I would drop a few lines to tell you all how productive my day was. Got up this morning (not as early as planned), burnt bacon in the oven for my 3 little ones (said forget it and bought McDonalds on the way to Lockport), Elisa was at the Lockport Location waiting for me (as usual) and WE PAINTED ALL DAY! I looks so cute and I can't wait to get my curtains up and inventory in and have everyone come to visit and hopefully love it as much as I do!

Whew, Sorry for all the ramblings. When we made it back to my house I had a big box of happy waiting for me. TA DA... THREE BUGS IN A RUG HAS ARRIVED! I wanted to share with you a taste of what came in. I know it is a horrible picture but I just had to show it off. 45 new arrivals to Creative You Scrapbooking! Looks like things will be coming pretty quickly now. Still waiting on Pink Paislee, Cosmo Cricket and Maya Road. Hugs every one and if you want a better look you might just want to come into the store to check it out when we open our new doors.

Our Gift Embroidery Hoop Kit

Hello Scrappers, Family and Friends!,

What a day. It stormed all day today, and it was humid and just wet and blah. Believe it or not through all of the funk I am still so excited! Today my most excellent friend Elisa (Bless her heart... she has bad knees) volunteered her friendship and time to start painting at my new location today while I stayed and worked at my old location. Poor thing was up and down a ladder all day! I really appreciate and love ya Elisa! Friendship and Family are definitely God Given Gifts and I am grateful for each and every one of mine!

Speaking of Gifts...

I wanted to share with you a kit that I will be offering in September. It is called "Our Gift". She would like to have them mailed off to the hospital by September 15th. She has no set limit and just one would help.

Hi Everyone! I hope this finds you all doing well and feeling very creative! Today is Saturday and when I went in to the store today all I could find myself doing is looking around and thinking about all the new & fun things that I am going to have in my new store. Everyone who knows me will tell you that I am crazy for Chipboard and Mini Albums. In celebration of my obsession I thought I would show off some new Maya Road collections that I will be bringing in.

Maya Road Chipboards are the greatest! I couldn't get all the pictures so I thought I would at least share what I could.

Here are a few descriptions:

Hello Scrappers! For the first time in a long I decided to sit and reflect on the things that my Honey does in which makes me love him so darn much. So in honor of my great hubby I made this layout (and he loved it~ duh, who doesn't love when someone tells them how great they think they are). My recommendation is that you too sit down and reflect on the person who helps make your world extra special! I promise it will give you the warm and fuzzies!

All the details will follow soon, like the new addy LOL! I have decided to move the store to Lockport from Raceland. Bigger Space etc. was needed and I am so excited because I just ordered some much needed and deserved new inventory. I just wanted to let everyone know how much I have appreciated their support over the past 8 months. Family, Friends, Customers, Clients all in the same I love you! Thank you for making this happen! The store will begin the moving process around August 15th. I hope to be completely moved in by September 1st (we will see... not holding my breath but there is a goal). Stop by in between or peek your head in at the new store while we are moving. We will be happy to see ya!
